About UsIn 2003 I founded Green Square Music because there was lots of great bass gear that wasn't being imported and made available to Australian bass players. Initially we started importing products that I had personally tried and wanted to play. Soon customers started asking for other great products - so by 2007 our line up included Accugroove, Acme, Acoustic Image, Alembic, Raezer's Edge, Schroeder Cabinets, Thunderfunk. And we had Epifani, MTD and Ritter on the way! I wanted to create a professional environment which would display these great products to their potential - to do the right thing by customers and suppliers. The idea of a retail outlet was born. This would also give me the opportunity to showcase in one place other essential bass brands like Fender, Musicman, Warwick, Lakland, G&L, Eden, Gallien-Krueger and Eden. And I also imagined a comprehensive range of bass strings, CDs and DVDs by bass players, bass clef and bass tab sheet music. One thing led to another and Bass People opened in December 2007. We aimed to create "bass heaven" - a place where bass players at all levels could come and find the best gear for their needs, in a professional yet friendly environment.
